Dry

Dry is an extruded terracotta module designed to build dry walls with a simple, fully reversible system. It combines the solidity of terracotta with the flexibility of a dismantlable structure, enabling the creation of dividers and walls without the need for mortar or adhesives. What makes Dry unique is its ability to create terracotta walls that are not only assembled dry but can also be easily disassembled and reused elsewhere. This offers a sustainable, dynamic solution for temporary architecture. Its shapes allow for both linear walls and curved surfaces, adapting to various contexts and needs. When used for temporary installations, Dry provides maximum freedom for reconfiguration and reuse. However, if a permanent solution is preferred, the system can be stabilized for long term use.

Comma

Much like the punctuation mark it is named after, Comma represents a pause, brought to life as an extruded brick that defines the rhythm of a space. Compositions of solids and voids create a dynamic architectural interplay of light and shadow. The brick offers complete flexibility in layout: its various faces can be alternated and intersected, or a single side can be emphasized instead. It can follow straight lines or sweeping curves, generating open or enclosed forms. Thanks to its modular versatility, Comma lends itself naturally to the design of both indoor and outdoor furniture, where the arrangement of the bricks becomes a structural statement.

Ribs

Ribs is a collection of tiles that originates from the terracotta offcuts that accumulate within Fornace S.Anselmo’s production cycle for its iconic product SK1N, one of its most iconic lines. During its extrusion, each piece is supported by two small terracotta rods, which are removed after firing and ordinarily discarded. These are here recovered and transformed into the very core of the project. The terracotta offcuts are cut, realigned and assembled using a minimal amount of tone-on-tone pigmented cement, leaving the original material exposed, intact in its industrial evidence. Without further firing or transformation, the offcuts are recomposed into a surface where industrial logic is not erased, but made legible. Ribs builds a language of rhythm, repetition and exposed matter, where what is born as residue becomes structure.
