190 The Strand

190 Strand is a flagship development by St Edward, part of the Berkely Group, located on the world famous historical crossroads in the city of London.

Working with Grid Architects, EH Smith proposed a number of handmade brick options to work in conjunction with the Natural Stone element across much of the design, with two Uk produced handmade Bricks finally chosen for the scheme.

The development has a narrow Front but runs all the way from the Strand itself to the Thames, replacing the previously high sided concrete block that was the former occupant of this site.

The development is a series of urban blocks arranged around two courtyards and connected by an internal colonnade.
