7-8 St James’s Square

The project consisted of the demolition and redevelopment of the office buildings at 8 St James’s Square and 7 Apple Tree Yard, and their redevelopment with 8 St James’s Square and 7 Apple Tree Yard to provide a new office building.

Its position in one of London’s well known Garden Squares meant that it had to blend into the existing urban fabric. The selection of a black handmade brick gives a solid, timeless quality whilst providing enough contrast to the surrounding buildings to remain striking, including the use of a bespoke textured Facing for use on the Arches which required a softer feel to them.
