Tunsgate Centre

Lyon Sleeman Hoare Architects asked us to select and supply a suitable range of products for the £20m redevelopment of Tunsgate Shopping Centre, which included the development of the existing building and a new extension to the rear of the complex.

EH Smith tapped into their years of knowledge to match the handmade brick to the front elevation so that it could be mirrored in some of the internal elevations.

We also source high quality Wet Cast Stone to add another texture, whilst complimenting the vast range of products used both internally and externally.

The challenge on this project was to find a suitable brick for the rear extension building as the Architect/Client wanted a light brick that was also in-keeping with the local vernacular. EH Smith sourced a brick which met their requirements and both the Architect and Client were very impressed with the outcome.

We also worked on selecting a collection of colours to suit the design pallet for the internal glazed bricks. We believe that the quality and visuals speak for themselves!
