Belle Vue Hampstead

Set in the green spaces of Hampstead Green, Belle Vue by Pegasus Life provides 60 luxury apartments for the over 60’s in a convenient location for Central London.

The complex façade design features include steel framing systems backing to hand-laid brickwork in feature bonds. An intricate mechanically-fixed brick slip rain-screen was created with precast panelling, precast sills and banding, loggia balconies, composite punch windows and stick curtain walling.

E H Smith worked closely with the brickworks and their UK representatives, Bespoke Brick, to ensure a consistent blend was delivered. Morris + Co were meticulous in choosing the brick with the right amount of weathering and they were able to facilitate this. The two red tumbled bricks included one with 60% special pigmented slurry and one with 90%.

The brickwork was completed by Galostar to an exceptionally high standard which dovetails the traditionally laid bricks with the blick slip elements.
