Broadwick Street - EH Smith

Broadwick Street

Soho, London

Working closely with Rolfe Judd from the very early stages of the design we helped source material options for this project in the heart of London.

From the original brief EH Smith proposed and supplied a number of options to satisfy the exacting demands of the scheme. The final material selection used two linear bricks one of which was produced with a translucent glaze. They were coupled with the most stunning hand-cast Italian Blue Glazed terracotta faience.

The project design also utilised multiple offsite prefabricated units with both the Bricks and the Terracotta making full use of this modern method of construction, creating a bespoke soffit solution incorporating onsite and offsite strategies to overcome the challenges of recladding an existing building.

Blenheim house were the main contractor and Grangewood the brick laying subcontractor. The finished building and brickwork looks amazing!
