Clarges - EH Smith

Clarges

London

The 34 new residences of Clarges Development in the very heart of Mayfair by the London based Architect Squire and partners and is the epitome of elegant luxury.

The development overlooks Green Park from a ten storey building on Piccadilly. Natural Portland Stone was the predominate material of the project, with two 50mm facing bricks used to complement the mainly Stone facades.

The Bricks were required to be used as pre-cast option as the Brick facades were produced off-site and lifted into place by the main contractor Laing O’Rourke via their facility in Worksop.

EH Smith proposed options that allowed the use of both faces of the unit when cut to keep waste and costs down which meant that only half the required number of Bricks were required when compared with traditionally laid brickwork.

We co-ordinated and supplied 10,000s of slips keyed to allow for a mechanical embedment, and multiple special types across the project.
