Ibstock Place School Refectory - EH Smith

Ibstock Place School Refectory

Roehampton

Described by the RIBA Journal as “A magnificent cathedral-like refectory delivered in a very precise and undistracted way,” this addition to the prestigious Ibstock Place School is truly stunning.

From the incredible internal timber vaulted ceilings to the cloister-esque external perimeter it provides an inspiring place for students to relax and socialise.

Subservient to the Georgian Manor House which is the main school building, the Refectory uses a rich textured warm toned brick which was selected so that the new addition referenced the main building to sit comfortably in its surroundings.
