Marylebone House - EH Smith

Marylebone House

London

This imaginative re-construction of a prominent Central London block retained 85% of the original structure and façade to create 75,000sqft of Office space.

With a highly visible location on Marylebone Road, and a short walk from Marylebone Station, the 1930’s office building has undergone a significant transformation.

Marylebone Place’s original brick-faced structure had the qualities to be retained, but later additions from the 1960s, that included a redundant car park structure, compromised the residential streets to the rear.

We worked with Fletcher Priest to suggest a range of options for the main façade of the building with the final selection providing a striking blend moving from a white brick through to a traditional London yellow stock.
