This new facility comprises 3 large north-lit artist studios, 2 wet and dry textile studios, a 3D pottery/ sculpture studio and Kiln Room, and Photography and Dark Room facility. Digital media are provided for with media-editing suites and a cinemax screening room used for tuition and as an extra-curricular cinema club.

A central feature of the centre is a large double height Gallery space with views across playing fields to showcase students’ art, sculpture and other exhibitions.

A new 150-seat lecture auditorium and a secondary gallery space are also provided, along with a new Art Library, seminar room, washrooms and staff offices.

Associated development undertaken at the same time is the provision of a 1,700 sq.ft dining hall extension.

We were delighted to continue our long running collaboration with Lyons+Sleeman+Hoare in advising on brick selection and detailing for the scheme.
