Thurston Road

This ECE Architects designed project is located on a former industrial site on Thurston Road and includes more than 400 new homes for people on a range of incomes, and 6,771sqm of retail space.

The apartments are spread over three buildings of six, seven and 15 storeys using a Terracotta Cladding system from EH Smith as the predominate façade material in a white and grey glaze, with traditional brickwork mainly used on the two-storey podium which incorporates the retail space.

Sustainability is high on the agenda, with an offsite Combined Heat and Power system providing heating and hot water. Brown roofs will also be a feature of most of the buildings to aid biodiversity.
