This £13m scheme consists of 176 bed accommodation in a two-building complex to be enjoyed by students and staff at the hospital.
Incorporating shared living space and communal gardens, this allows residents the necessary time to relax away for the pressures of the work environment.
Jonathan Higman, chief executive of Yeovil Hospital, said: “This was an exciting moment for the hospital. The accommodation being built will provide frontline staff with modern, high-quality accommodation just yards from the hospital site.
“It’s an investment into our future and one which will help us recruit and retain employees while adding to the vibrancy of the wider community.”
Testimonial
“EH Smith provided excellent assistance throughout the course of the project from helping with the specification of the brickwork through to brick detailing during the technical stage and on site. The support and advice given by EH Smith was extremely valuable to the design team. We are very happy with the quality of the brickwork and how the detailing has worked to bring texture and character to the building façade.”
