2023’s Clerkenwell Design week saw an action packed programme of events as well as the opportunity to see the worlds’ first hydrogen fired bricks from Michelmersh Brick Holdings PLC, the worlds’ first carbon NEGATIVE bricks from Vandersanden as well as low carbon bricks from StoneCycling®, Polycor, and Wienerberger UK’s eco brick!
The star of the show from last year, Ian Martinson made a return carving from clay in front of your eyes with a kitchen fork, and Maria Gasparian’s unique glazed artwork is on display.
There was also the opportunity to make your own brick with Northcot Brick Limited and architectural ceramics from Agrob Buchtal and Soladrilho – Sociedade Cerâmica de Ladrilhos, S.A.
Added to this, a keynote from elite athletes Liz McColgan & Eilish McColgan – an engaging and inspiring talk on overcoming challenges and life as a mother and daughter at the top of Athletics – the renowned German Industrial designer Markus Bischof exploring the creative process of product design and IG Masonry Support talking about MMC there really was something for everyone!
