At our Design Centre in Clerkenwell there was another packed programme of events and activities at this years’ Clerkenwell Design Week. Over 2000 Architects, Designers, Contractors and Clients visited us to make bricks (with Northcot Brick), draw on bricks (with Wienerberger), name bricks (with the Brick Development Association) and hear about Modern Methods of Construction utilising bricks! We also had a display of the Craft External Tile range from Agrob Buchtal, Soladrihlo profiled terracotta and the UK debut of the Terraformae range of artisan products from Italian Manufacturer San Anselmo.
There was also a low carbon materials theme with the Pirouette carbon negative brick range from Vandersanden and an evening exploring lightweight brick-faced GRC with Ibstock Futures as a low carbon alternative to pre-cast.
